NICOLA ENGLISH SPORTS THERAPY

Nicola English Sports Therapy

Nicola has over 20 years’ experience as a Sports Therapist and has based her business in many physiotherapy, chiropractic, and osteopathic clinics.

Her training has been extensive and includes qualifications with the Academy of Sports Therapy, The London School of Sports Massage, and Future Fit. She has worked alongside numerous sports clubs, including Liverpool football club, as well as individuals competing as elite runners, cyclists, and weightlifters. At present, she is supporting a young athletes programme with their strength and conditioning training.

She has a particular interest in supporting patients recovering from stress and anxiety, as well as more complex mental health issues and has helped in the rehabilitation of many stroke and head injury patients.

She offers injury treatments, sports and remedial massage, and taping and rehabilitation. Nicola has a Degree in Education and has lectured in sports therapy at several local further education colleges, as well as for private training providers, assessing and assisting with the internal verification for many exam boards.

Nicola is a qualified mat Pilates instructor offering one to one and group classes. She owns and runs a local community fitness company called WellFit for Life Ltd which offers fitness and wellness classes in the Bognor Regis area.

When she isn’t working her time is spent with her three children and keeping fit.

Our Services

Sports & Remedial Massage

Sports and Remedial Massage uses hands-on techniques to manipulate the muscles, tendons and ligaments in the body. Different strokes, techniques and pressures are used to help breakdown tension in the muscles, re-align the muscle fibres, connective tissue, and flush away toxins. Regular sessions will increase joint mobility and flexibility and will reduce the risk of injury during exercise.

1:1 Pilates

Pilates is a form of exercise which concentrates on strengthening the body with an emphasis on core strength. This helps to improve general fitness and overall well-being. Similar to Yoga, Pilates concentrates on posture, balance and flexibility. In Pilates, the chance of injury is much lower than with other more strenuous forms of exercise.
